Printing GIF files

Postby ecki2006 » Tue Nov 14, 2006 11:46 am

Hi *,

i am using dycodoc Enterprise Edition V3.6 R4

when printing a jpg with

picture( nLeft + 250 , nrow + 140 , nLeft + 1750, nRow + 140 + 350 , cLogo , PIC_BESTFIT + PIC_MERGE + PIC_ALLOWLZW )

all works fine, but when using a gif file instead only the first lines of the file will be printed, not the complete logo ??

lasterror returns 0

Windows can show the gif file i want to print with VPE !!

Any ideas ?

It has been recently reported by another customer that there seems to be newer software which writes GIF files that can not be read by VPE (using the Davinci graphics library).

With what software has the GIF file been created?

Please send the GIF to our support e-mail address, so we can verify the file.

We analysed the GIF file and according to the manufacturer of Davinci the file is not conformant to the GIF specification.

The next major version of VPE will include a workaround so that even this file can be read (because other GIF readers seem to be less restrictive).
