Printing of Barcode is slow

We need to print a label with a 1D barcode (EAN128) to a (mobile) Zebra printer.
The barcode is pretty long; e.g. it contains the text (01)95425038770189(3103)001298(13)040618(10)ITV5490-01

Unfortunately it takes about 30 seconds to print the label.
We have no idea why this is so slow.

Any suggestions?

This was a bug in the 3rd party barcode library we are using. It is fixed in v7.20.

I tested this with v7.2 but it's even worse…

Send this to a preview:
VpeBarcode 100 100 750 300 27 "(01)95425038770189(3103)001298(13)040618(10)ITV5490-01" ""

It won't work. VPE freezes.

When I make the barcode shorter, it works:
Up until this length it takes about 3 seconds: "(01)95425038770189(3103)001298(13)"
Add new characters and all of a sudden it takes over 40 seconds to show the barcode in the preview.
And with the full barcode it takes forever (VPE freezes).

Any ideas?

Your application is not loading v7.20. In v7.20 this problem does no longer exist.

You are right.
For whatever reason I accidentally used v7.1 in the test.
v7.2 works just fine.
