I have looked through the DDL reference to find a way to automatically install (connect to) a shared printer that is known in Active Directory, but did not find anything to do this.
We have only network printers that are shared via AD and we have all printer names in a database. When a user selects a printer that is not yet installed in his windows profile, I would like that to "happen" automatically, preferably using a VPE call.

It is out of the scope of VPE's functionality to install a printer.
