"Couldn't load vzlib32.dll" Problem

Postby dCipher » Tue May 17, 2011 2:52 pm

I have just converted my application to VPE 6.1 professional and when I execute the following VFP code the writeDoc method generates a dialog that says "Couldn't load vzlib32.dll". I have looked through the redistribution file list in the documentation and there is no mention of this dll. I am running under Windows 7 64bit.

Code: Select all
If Empty(lcFile).Or.!This.WriteDoc(ForceExt(lcFile,"pdf"))
This.Parent.cErrorMsg = "PDF File was not created."
EndIf

The only logical answer is that you are loading an old version of VPE into your application, because vzlib32.dll was removed from VPE in 2007 with version 4.0.

Hi

Thank-you for pointing me in the right direction. I was indeed using the right version of the VPE in my development environment but Visual FoxPro for some reason failed to update one of the inherited classes and instead maintained a reference to version 3.5 of the standard edition. I manually removed this link and solved the problem.

Thanks,
Simon
