VPE 6 dump ignores the page size defined in the template

Using Dycodoc 2.1, I have created a copy of the template example "tax 1999.dcd" with the page size set to "A3 Sheet".
When I use that template in the java demo application "VpeDemoEnterprise" (method "templateUsage()"), the page size of the result in the preview window and in the PDF document is still A4.
Calling the methods "useTemplateSettings(tpl, 0L)" or setPageFormat(PageFormat.A3) does not help.

- Why does VPE ignore the page size?

PS: the version of my JRE is 1.6.0_16-b01 and of my vpe3260.dll is 6.0.0.6048
