Demo banner

Postby ericderycke » Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:19 am

Hi

We are using VPE 3.6 enterprise version. Our VPE documents are made on a server who runs windows 2003 server standard edition. Sometimes we get the demo banner at the document. When we retry the same report then the demo banner is not there. At your forum I've read that checks the license by counting the number of processes or threads simaltaneously an open document. In our application if a user request a document an new instance of VPE is launched. There fore I cannot limit the number of instances. We have a server license key of 10 concurrent users. Does this mean that if more than 10 instances of vpe are running the eleventh one get the demo banner on his document ?

Yes. If you can not control the number of instances, then you require a server license for unlimited concurrent users.

For VPE v4.0 R2 server licenses are no longer required (except for the platforms Solaris / OpenSolaris, Aix, AS/400).
