What is the status of VPE version 4?

The code is nearly finished. However, there are lots of tests to perform and the installer still needs to be updated.

The major part that still has to be done is updating and rewriting the documentation. We expect to release the beta version for the public in about 6 - 8 weeks.

Well, we had detected this problem with Windows Vista and quality testing also revealed some flaws in the new HTML export module, so we had to do some additional debugging and coding the past days, but things are on the way.

Each customer will receive an e-mail about the availability of the Beta Version, and then you will be able to access a full and complete list of all changes. I'd like to please you to wait for a few weeks.

Update: the code is finished, but the release is delayed due to some details regarding multi-platform installation.

As always with software development, it is the details which take so long. Mac OS X is different from Linux, which is in turn different from Solaris. We want to do it right, to deliver the high quality standard our customers are used to. We are working on this very hard and we expect to have the work done soon.
