Windows Server 2022 - Class not licensed for use

Postby dCipher » Tue Dec 03, 2024 8:54 pm

Hi

I have a license for the combined 32bit and 64bit versions of VPE7.1. Both versions of my application work perfectly on my Windows 11 64 bit computer but only the 32bit versions runs on the server. If I try to run the the 64bit version of my application I always get "Class not licensed for use". I used Regsvr32 to register both the 32bit version (Syswow64) and the 64bit versions (System32) successfully. However when I run my 64bit application I get the error message. The 32bit version of the application runs just fine.

Does anyone have any idea of the possible causes for this error?

Thanks,
Simon

I recommend you ask VFP technical support what this message exactly means. We do not know VFP.

I am not sure if this is related to COM licensing or something else. For an explanation of COM licensing, please see

It turned out the the Windows Registry had some incorrect values. Once I fixed them everything started to work.
