Too long text doesn’t print at all.

I have used the statement below in my program, but now a customer complained that the text in sLagtext[iI] was missing on the printout.

Send DoVpeWrite (iEtikLeft+2300) VTOP VFREE -45 sLagtext[iI]

It turned out that the text was too long, so it was no rom for it on the page. I would expect that the part that it was room for should be printed and the rest truncated. Why is it not so?

This can have several reasons. It depends on page dimensions, page margins, if the text contains white spaces (blanks) and settings for AutoBreakMode.

Please post a complete example, so the problem becomes reproducible. As an alternative, you can study the chapter "Dynamic Text" ff. in the help file titled "Programmer's Manual". It should answer your question, too.
