VPE has no problems in using UNC paths. We rather assume the mail client has a problem using it. Or maybe the MAPI layer.
Questions:
What e-mail client are you using, what version, on what Windows version?
Windows 32- or 64-bit ?
What version of VPE?
VPE 32- or 64-bit?
Are you using Simple MAPI or Extended MAPI? See the property MAPIType. What happens, if you change to another MAPIType?
