Print job cutting short

Postby IDEAL Software Support » Tue Nov 23, 2004 4:46 pm

We've got one site that when printing their monthly print job (several
hundred a4 pages), stops part way through and the last thing printed is

%12345X@PJL_ustatus device=off

this is coming from the printer or driver - anyone know what it means
and why its happening? i've certainly never seen it before!

We haven't ever heard this either. I assume it may be one of the
following problems in order of likelihood:

- Printer driver buggy (try a newer version)
- Printer port or cable defect
- Printer defect
- Low-Level problem (i.e. BIOS printer port configuration or low-level
chipset driver problem)

Please let us know, if you find out the exact cause.
