Detecting User Canceling Print Dialog

Postby Patrick » Fri Mar 18, 2011 10:02 pm

Greetings,

I'm trying to detect when our users cancels the printer dialog box. We have VPE Pro 6.0-Active-X control, Windows 7, and HP Laserjet 4350.

When I trap/display *all* VPE.RequestPrint actions, I ONLY get actions:
1 - Printer Started
4 - Setup-Dialog started
5 - Setup-Dialog ended
never 0, 2, or 3?

Why do I not get action #3 - User aborted Setup-Dialog? Would this be Windows dependant?

Thank you,
Pat

We do not know why you don't receive the RequestPrint event with action = 3 (user cancelled printer setup dialog). We tested it on Win XP and on Win 7 and here it works.
