Missing spaces problem - wierd

We have a bizarre printing problem at one out of 1000 sites -
everything is lined up correctly etc, but there are no spaces between
words where there should be, and are at every other site!

Clearly not vpe itself doing this, but i'm asking in the hope someone
has come across this before and has a solution.

the computer is w2000, kyocera fs1800 printer.

This sounds like a problem with a bad printer driver or bad True-Type fonts.

Try the following:
If available, turn on "Print True-Type As Graphics" in the printer driver's setup dialog. Sometimes this option is also called "Print True-Type as Bitmap" or something similar.

Since we don't know, if you are using VPE v2.x or v3.x, you should also try the most current version of VPE.

Otherwise, see if there is a newer version of the printer driver available, or try with other available options of the driver's setup dialog. Finally, re-install the True-Type fonts.
