Printing Russian text with VPE

Hi,

We are currently looking for a solution to print Russian documents for one of our customers that is not currently using VPE. They need to print Russian documents: all Russian text is stored as UTF-8 in the database. Is it possible to this with VPE (current or upcoming version)?

Unicode is currently not supported and will be adressed in a later release (not in the upcoming v4.0).

But you can print all russian (cyrillic) characters by setting:

Code: Select all

VPE.CharSet = RUSSIAN_CHARSET

This requires that you convert the UTF-8 strings into ANSI (with the russian codepage).
