StampIT - Object in VPE-Report

Hi,

one of our clients wants to make use of the "Deutsche Post StampIT"
Software package. This software allows to print stamps of almost any
value as You need them. when printing a stamp the amount due will
be withdrawn from an account via online connection.

StampIT comes with an activeX - control and several vendors like
Lexware have started to add this functionality to their packages.

The question is, what will I have to do to make this work with VPE?

We don't know StampIT. In order to use it with VPE, it must be able to export to a metafile or bitmap format, or it must be able to draw to a Windows DC (= Graphics Device Context, so it can be used with a UDO - the User Defined Object of the Professional Edition or higher). The third option is, that it offers a "Picture" property, which can be connected to the UDOPicture property of the VPE ActiveX.

But I doubt that it can do either, because this would allow you to duplicate printed stamps as much as you like. I rather believe you need to use it standalone. But as said before, we don't know this software. I recommend to read its documentation.
