Layers

Postby cooper.zl » Mon Nov 14, 2005 11:49 am

Hi,
I have a problem while using layers. I defined layers 'background', 'lines' and 'texts' - in preview I need to show all layers (for user), but before printing I need to hide layers 'background' and 'lines'. This is need because user is printing on form, not a blank A4 page. I search in documentation, web, forum - nowhere is how to do that.
Can anybody help me? It is possible? I'm using VPE 3.6 interactive version.

dycodoc layers can not be accessed in VPE, because they are eliminated when writing template (tpl) files.

But you can do the following in dycodoc:
If you look at the property dialog for each object, the first sheet has a group named "Include in..." with three checkboxes:
- Previews
- Prints
- Streams

For each object in your layers named 'background' and 'lines' uncheck "Prints" and these objects will not print, but they will be visible in the preview.
