VPE and RTF

Postby IDEAL Software Support » Thu Nov 18, 2004 6:48 pm

Hello,

I am using VPE 3.5 and the WriteRTF() command.

I have created a large text string and let VPE do all the formatting and page breaks.

The problem is that in some paragraphs The title will print on the bottom of a page and the paragraph will start on the top of the next page.

I have tried many variations to keep the title with the paragraph and print on the next page, but can't get it working.

\par PARAGRAPH TITLE \par\par
This is the start of the paragraph. \par
\par

I have tried \keep \keepn and \widctlpar but can not get it working ...

how can I make the title print with the paragraph on the next page?

Thanks for your help,
Kent

\par \keepn PARAGRAPH TITLE \par\par
This is the start of the paragraph. \par
\par

Should do the job. If not, try:

\par \keepn PARAGRAPH TITLE \par \keepn \par
\keepn This is the start of the paragraph. \par
\par

If this still does not help, send a sample RTF text with the code that inserts the text and all settings (page dimensions, margins, auto break mode) to our support e-mail. The sample you send must make the problem reproduceable. In addition, please mail us what version of VPE you are using, including the Service Release code and what platform you are using.

Try to place \keep before the title and \keep0 after the paragraph.
