Image transparency in a future version?

Hello,

after have tried to print images with transparent background I searched this forum and found that bitmap transparency currently is not supported.

Are there any plans to support them in a future version?

(In my specific case I need to print a signature over a document, and the signatures look very bad on the othwerwise clear document).

P.S. I must admit that VPE printed documents are looking very professional and sharp!

We have no plans to do so, because in this case the whole page would need to be converted internally into a bitmap, so the transparent bitmap could be overlaid. This would cost a lot of memory and performance. It would also slow down printing, because the whole page is then sent as a bitmap to the printer.

Yes, because VPE is using true scalable vector-graphics for output. This is exactly the reason why we will not support transparent bitmaps.
