Hello,

I've just upgraded from vpe version 5 ocx, to version 7.20 .net 32bit (bought 09/11/2022).
I'm developing in Progress OpenEdge.
I've made a first small program but the 'banner DEMO VERSION' appears.
Searched the forum here, and I found that someone else had also that problem when developming in Progress OpenEdge, but there seems to be no solution....
Does this mean I can't use the bought license ?
What should I do ?

The licensing mechanism for .NET controls is part of the .NET specification. Progress OpenEdge does not fully comply to the specification.

We implemented in VPE v7.20 R1 a new method License(), which allows to provide the license key at runtime by code. This solves the issue.
