Borland 5.5 Command Line Compiler Build Problem

I originally downloaded the Community Version to see if VPE satisfied our requirements.

I succesfully incorporated the imp_libs into our old Borland 5.5 command line c++ setup using vpec3271.lib along with the vpec32bc.def in the linker.

I purchase the Standard Addition and now useing the vpes3271.lib along with the vpes3271bc.def in the linker I am getting the following error when building.

Error: 'C:\JLPLAN22\JLXP\VPES3271.LIB' contains invalid OMF record, type 0x21 (possibly COFF)

Hopefully someone out there is able to help me out.
