VPE version 7 (vpep3271.dll)

Our software is currently using version 3 of the VPE. We wish to upgrade to revision 7 and I am currently testing the trial version of vpep3271.dll.

It seems like the parameter count of some of the function calls has changed. I keep getting the error "wrong number of arguments" when calling VpeGet with two parameters. The help shows the two parameters to be "VpeHandle hDoc" and "VpeCoord What" similar to what was in version 3. The same issue comes up when calling VpeSet with 3 parameters. Has anyone had the same issue? Am I missing something.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I found out what the problem is. The "VpeCoord" data type is a double and my vdf program was misinterpreting the parameter count.

After providing a stable API from v1.x to v3.x for a period of 10 years, we cleaned-up the API in v4.0 in the year 2007. All incompatible API changes in the transition from v3.x to v4.0 are documented in the file 'Release Notes', which is installed with VPE. Search for "Compatibility Issues for Users of VPE v3.x" in this file.

Since the release of v4.0 in 2007, there are no incompatible API changes.
