Mysterious printing issues

We started experiencing an issue recently. We are not sure if this has anything to do with VPE but one of the things that was done was to upgrade VPE to the latest version.

The program in question prints RTF text and has worked for a long time. Now what happens is that sometimes this program locks up and from that point on nothing can be printed anymore even other reports.

After this happened the only way we have found to fix the issue so far is to completely uninstall the printer in windows and reinstall it and reboot the machine. This problem will happen again later on the same workstation.

I wonder if maybe somebody has experienced anything similar. We will try to put the old DLL's back to see if we can somehow exclude VPE from the equation.

If Windows has a problem: a reboot without reinstalling the printer driver does not help? You really need to reinstall the printer driver?

This does not sound like a problem VPE is involved in. However, please let me know your test results with the older version.
